After an eclectic
career in New York City spanning 15 years, life took me to Key
West just before the events of September 11. Immersed in
the tropics my experiences included renovating a historic Conch
house while still living in it, the birth of my daughter in
2003, the death of my father in 2004, and the beginning of the
Spirit Dolls in 2005.
My decision to
return to the northeast led me back to Connecticut in 2006.
Each place I have lived represents a very specific phase in my
life. As wonderful as each location was, I am grateful to
have had the option to leave when I was ready. Now I am
officially hunkered down, which is one of the most satisfying
commitments I have made as a mother.
